How do you feel about dating outside your "Race"?

I ask this question because I got A LOT of hate for saying that my boyfriend was white. I asked a question in another section asking for help on how to deal with my boyfriends mother because she is making racial slurs at me. Instead of people helping me, they started telling me how I was a race trader and that I'm white washed. I don't understand why they would say things like that.
