Is Disney pin trading more of an adult or kid thing?

Is it mostly kids that trade pins, or are the majority of pin traders adults? What are other popular collectibles throughout the parks? Is this vinylmation thing a pretty big deal? I'm bored and trying to think of things for me and my kids to collect on Disney trips.
